Some questions we often get about hiring or buying

How long in advance do I need to choose my wedding outfit?

For your own convenience (including maximum choice of design/colour etc) and peace of mind it is ideal to have chosen your suits and measured up your party at least 12-weeks in advance of the occasion. However, we always carry a large range of stock for shorter notice occasions, including same day Evening or Ascot outfits etc.

When should measurements be taken?

Ideally at least 16-weeks and not later than 6-weeks before the occasion. It is not necessary to come together as a group, but if you do an appointment is advisable. Otherwise we are always pleased to see individuals pop in at any time to measure up without an appointment. If there is a difficulty in attending the shop, you can advise measurements required by email, but last minute substitute garments may be charged extra. Boys should measure up in advance, but need to re-try 4-6 weeks before the occasion to check for growth.

When can I collect my suit?

Suits are normally available to collect from the day prior to the occasion. If you require to collect earlier, please tell us when booking, or if circumstances change, the week before the occasion. You are very welcome to try on your suit in-store before taking it away. If you have been measured a long time in advance to an occasion we strongly recommend customers to arrange a re-measure 4-weeks before collection just in case a size change is required. This reduces last minute worries and the risk of potential charges.   

How are payments handled?

A 50% deposit is payable at the time of first booking the party; or if less than a month before the occasion, payment in full is required on booking. The outstanding balance(s) may be paid at any time at your convenience or on collection of the suits for the hire occasion. In common with all hire stores a £100 security deposit is required to be left on each suit. A swipe of a valid credit card is acceptable (or a returnable cash deposit).

A Payment Plan can be arranged for bookings 12-months or more before the event to help spread the cost. 

When do I need to return my suit?

Suits must be returned the first trading day after use by 5.00pm. Please advise us as soon as possible if there is likely to be any difficulty returning the suits.

Can I hire my suit for longer than just a weekend?
Yes, extended hire is available - prices are dependent upon the length of time needed and are available upon request.
